Katie often says "Lawyers have to be either super serious, or fun and engaging, and I am terrible at being super serious." Katie views estate planning as a necessity and a chance to educate people about the legal system. Unlike attorneys who come from a long line of lawyers, Katie comes from a background of entrepreneurs and self-starters who work in the senior living industry. As a result, her approach to estate planning prioritizes client comfort over formalism.Â
Katie has lived in Middle Tennessee for most of her life, and loves her growing community. She attends LaVergne Church of Christ, where she teaches Bible class, coaches the girls' L2L speech team, and runs the games room for Vacation Bible School. She is a member of the board for Friends of Smyrna Library, and chairs the annual Run to Read. She has two cats, Squeaks and Pepper, and spends her free time hosting craft nights, baking, and running online amateur art contests.
